# How Togra handles TG4

The product-side companion to TG4 — Teilifís na Gaeilge: how a TG4 commission runs through Togra, from the commissioning lifecycle and payment schedule to the delivery paperwork and the Irish-language funding stack around it.

1. The commission lifecycle

Commissions (Bordáil) tracks a broadcaster commission end-to-end, and TG4 is a first-class citizen there:

  • A TG4 scheme picker on the commission editor — pick the strand, the right defaults follow.
  • Payment schedule defaults to TG4's published 30/30/30 (signing / first day of production / satisfactory offline) plus the 10% delivery-and-acceptance holdback — entered as milestone rows whose "received" state feeds the slate's cash totals. Confirm the exact trigger language against your contract; Togra seeds the shape, the contract governs.
  • A TG4 references strip links the live source documents — Treoir (brand assets, endboards, the Cúla4 / Cine4 / sub-brand lock-ups) — so the spec you deliver against is the published one, not a remembered one.

2. Delivery

TG4's delivery checklist runs as per-episode deliverables on the commission — the 5-part paperwork set (programme details, copyright form, contributor release, music cue sheet, bank no-set-off) plus the technical spec (1080p25, EBU .stl subtitles, the stills counts). Each deliverable row carries a pack deep-link where Togra can generate the document — the music cue sheet comes straight from the cue-sheet pipeline, and the TG4 forms generate as pre-filled DOCX/XLSX from project data, ready to complete and submit to TG4's published contact. Due dates feed the deliverable-due notifications, so delivery week isn't a surprise.

3. The funding stack around a TG4 commission

A TG4 commitment is rarely the whole plan, and Togra connects the pieces:

  • CnaM Sound & Vision (the scheme) usually wants an Irish broadcaster commitment — the TG4 commission on file is exactly that, and the S&V pack reads it.
  • ILBF (the fund) lists TG4 among its qualifying broadcasters; the ILBF rounds sit in the funder calendar with the real 2026 deadlines (27 Mar TV · 24 Jul Audio + Digital · 25 Sep TV), and the ILBF application pack carries the broadcaster-commitment letter slot and the 75% Irish-language dialogue attestation.
  • The credits. A TG4-commissioned drama routes to S481; unscripted strands route to S487A. The SI health check's TV-animation gate explicitly looks for TG4 Cúla4 (among others) in the soft-money register before an animation application goes out — and Cúla4 is TG4's children's strand, distinct from RTÉ Junior.
