Irish studio directory
Ireland has eight named operational sound stages plus two large facilities in development. The Screen Ireland brochure refreshes this list periodically; the entries below are the May 2026 inventory.
Operational stages
Ardmore Studios — Bray, Co. Wicklow
The oldest and largest of the Irish purpose-built studios, in operation since 1958.

Troy Studios — Limerick
Major studio facility in the Mid-West region, converted from a former Dell manufacturing plant.

Ashford Studios — Co. Wicklow
Studio complex serving major drama (Vikings, etc.).
- Multiple stages including the named Gasworks, Box, and Christmas Tree stages
- 500-acre backlot — significant outdoor scene capacity
- Direct access to Wicklow location scouting (mountains, coast, towns)
Font Hill Studios — Dublin 22
- ~30,000 sq ft total, with a 10 m clear height
- Dedicated ESB substation — significant on-site power
- Convenient Dublin location
Stiúideo Telegael — Galway
- ~24,000 sq ft
- On-site manor house offering accommodation
- Established animation production base
Kite Studios — Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow
- ~5,500 sq ft
- Built-in LED stage for virtual production
- Specialised for virtual production work
Studio@5 — Midlands (N83 / M6)
- ~4,520 sq ft
- Multi-purpose stage in the Midlands
Popup Stages — Inchicore, Dublin
- 3 stages × 9 m
- Flexible / temporary studio capacity in central Dublin
In development
Greystones Media Campus — Co. Wicklow
- ~790,000 sq ft planned
- Major Wicklow-coast media campus build
Ashford Phase 2 — Co. Wicklow
- ~696,000 sq ft planned
- Expansion of the existing Ashford complex
Together the in-development facilities add ~1.5 million sq ft to Irish studio capacity once delivered.
