Production Buyer

The Production Buyer is the senior buyer in the Set Decorating team. Sources, negotiates and acquires set dressing across the production — from supplier deals to bespoke commissions.

What the role does

• Sources specialist set dressing — antiques, period items, bespoke pieces
• Negotiates supplier deals + rental terms
• Manages larger acquisitions + commission work
• Supervises Assistant Production Buyer + Petty Cash Buyer

Position

Reports to Assistant Set Decorator / Set Decorator.

SI Competency Framework Level 4 — Expert. Path: Trainee Buyer → Petty Cash Buyer → Assistant Production Buyer → Production Buyer → Assistant Set Decorator.
