Assistant Costume Designer

The Assistant Costume Designer is the senior support to the Costume Designer — managing fittings, sourcing, supplier liaison, and workroom oversight.

What the role does

• Coordinates fittings with cast on the Costume Designer's behalf
• Sources costume pieces from rental houses, manufacturers, vintage suppliers
• Manages workroom build of bespoke pieces
• Tracks continuity records for each character
• Supervises Costume Supervisor and the broader team

Position

Reports to Costume Designer. Supervises Costume Supervisor, Standby Costume Assistant, Costume Trainee.

Career progression
