Junior Hairdresser
The Junior Hairdresser is the entry-level Hairdressing role. Works under the Hairdresser learning on-set styling, touch-up technique, and continuity discipline.
What the role does
- Supports the Hairdresser on daily styling tasks
- Performs simpler hair tasks under supervision
- Maintains the hair trailer / workroom organisation
- Observes the Hair Designer on design + character work to learn the craft
Position
Reports to Hairdresser.
Career progression
SI Competency Framework Level 1 — New Entrant / Level 2 — Foundation. Path: Junior Hairdresser → Hairdresser → Hair Designer.
