Art Department Trainee

The Art Department Trainee is the entry-level Art role. Works under the Art Department Coordinator and the Art team learning workshop + on-set Art-department workflow.

What the role does

• Supports workshop tasks — supplier orders, deliveries, organisation
• Assists on-set with Art-department logistics
• Observes the Art Director / Production Designer on design + build coordination

Position

Reports to Art Department Coordinator / Art Director.

Career progression

SI Competency Framework Level 1 — New Entrant. Path: Trainee → Art Department Coordinator OR Junior Draughtsperson (depending on craft focus).
